A convicted felon named Chris Gonos incited a wild brawl Friday night with Johnny Manziel and his security detail at The 9, where Manziel lives, after noticing the Browns backup quarterback near an elevator, according to Cleveland Scene. The 9 tower has a hotel and apartments. Gonos tells Scene that he and his brother were in the building because they had a hotel room in the building.
Before we go any further, you should know that Gonos is a convicted felon who was sentenced earlier this year to two years probation in a tax evasion case; Chris is also a noted marijuana and cocaine user.
As for the situation that went down Friday night, Gonos says he went to “dap” Manziel and that’s when it all went down.
The police report:
There’s only one instance on social media that we can find where Gonos references anything having to do with the Browns QB situation. Is it possible Manziel’s team didn’t handle Friday night very well? Yes. Is it possible Gonos was being a moron and Manziel’s team felt their client was being threatened? Sure.
Is it shocking a convicted felon managed to get Manziel back in the news because he wanted a hug at 2:30 a.m.? Not at all.
