Of Course There Were Raiders-Chargers Fan Fights [VIDEO]

This isn’t getting posted because it’s one of the better Raiders-Chargers fan fights. This scuffle last night after the rivalry game is getting posted because of the police response time to this situation that could’ve gotten real ugly. Of course you know all about Raiders and Chargers fan fights. You know that both sides want to inflict injury on one another. It’s just their yearly chance to get it on. But things were different last night.
ABC-10 San Diego reports that there were ONLY 25 fans arrested Sunday:

There were 25 arrests at Sunday’s game as a result of fighting, according to San Diego police Lt. Dan Douglas. There were additional fans thrown out of the game. Douglas says this has been the busiest game of the season for police, but not as busy as last year’s Raiders game.

The key: police presence.

Chargers officials implemented rules for Raiders games. Not only is there a fan code of conduct, but they have beefed up security. Fans could only buy one beer at a time and alcohol sales stopped after half time.

It appears that the days of Raiders and Chargers fans nearly killing each other in parking lots are over. That seems like a victory for the NFL.
