Have you guys been paying attention to Gold Rush? I watched the latest episode on Sunday while stuck in bed, feeling like someone was hitting my stomach with a sledgehammer. I’ve spent 2 1/2 days trying to get over a flu bug, so that gave me plenty of time to see if Todd Hoffman was able to lure Dave Turin to McKinnon Creek. I didn’t think there was any way Dave would give up the chunky gold he was finding with Freddie Dodge. Not only did he give up the Dodge Bros. gig, Dave begged his old man for $500k to become half-owner of Hoffman’s mine. This has to be one of the ballsiest decisions in gold mining history. Now I’m hooked for the rest of the season just to see if Turin gets smoked. Anyway, you can watch Titans-Steelers or college basketball tonight. I’ll probably curl up in a ball and finish off this flu.
