Jeff Green Put On a Dunking Clinic Against the Suns

Boston Celtics forward Jeff Green is a mercurial talent. One night he’s dropping 36 points on an opponent, and the next day everyone in the arena is wondering who replaced him with a timid impostor.
On Monday, the good Green made an appearance, scoring 28 points and putting on a dunk fest for all the chowder-happy folks at TD Garden.
Down 16-29 to the Phoenix Suns late in the first quarter, Green picked off a lazy and ill-advised pass from Eric Bledsoe and soared for the majestic slam.

Green struck again in crunch time, coming away with yet another steal on a Bledsoe pass and going coast-to-coast for the facial on Marcus Morris. He also drew the foul, which he converted to put the Celtics up 114-112.

Unfortunately, those would be the last points the Celtics scored in the game, as they went on to blow the lead and lose 118-114.
But for a team that kind of sucks, this secretly has to be what lottery-hungry Celtics fans wanted—an exciting game filled with highlights and a “tragic” defeat.
