NFL Playoff Probabilities
Congrats if you predicted the Cardinals would clinch a playoff spot before Thanksgiving. Bruce Arians has a 98% probability of making the playoffs, 38% probability of taking his team to the Super Bowl and 21% to win it all. Reminder: the Super Bowl is in Glendale. The Broncos still hold a slight lead over the Patriots for the other Super Bowl spot after last night’s ass kicking. The Steelers, who’ve won three in a row, are surging in the probability department. They’re now at 63% to make the tourney and get the Jets and Titans before hosting the Saints on Thanksgiving weekend. That might as well be a victory. That would put them at 9-3 headed to banged up Cincinnati for what should be the showdown for the division title.
College football lines
Michigan State opened at -3 for Saturday’s game against Ohio State. That line smells fishy. You’re telling me JT Barrett, who is all banged up, is going to go into East Lansing and keep it close against a defense unlike anything he’s ever played against? I don’t believe it for a second. This is also why I no longer gamble on sports. If it’s too good to be true, you’re being suckered into taking Sparty. Bama is -6 at LSU; Notre Dame +1 at ASU; Baylor is +3.5 at Oklahoma.
