It’s a tradition unlike any other. Team makes the World Series, Super Bowl, NBA Finals, etc. Some local musician comes up with the genius idea to make a World Series song. Local radio stations go absolutely nuts over these songs. If you’re real lucky, you’ll get a few bar gigs out of one song.
So that’s where Julian Bickford comes into the picture for the Royals. The guy has some serious material on his composer/lyricist resume. One thing leads to another and he makes this World Series song, “That’s what speed do.”
