Brandon Finnegan went from pitching in the College World Series to getting a win in relief during the ALDS and pitching in Game 2 of the ALCS against Baltimore. As we normally do around here this time of year, we start investigating for girlfriends that could be breakout stars during the World Series. I think we have our star. Meet Brandon’s girlfriend Carly Peters. She’s a TCU cheerleader and sorority girl who has watched her boyfriend go from college pitcher to pitching in the World Series over a four-month period.
This guy is just living the life right now. He got his first round draft slot value of $2,200,600, barely spent any time in the minors and rolls into K.C. to pitch in seven regular season games (7 IP, 10Ks) and makes the postseason roster. That’s big stuff for a guy who turned 21 in April.
So here we go with Carly (@carlyvpeters) getting her exposure as a baseball girlfriend and Finnegan as a possible World Series pitcher. MLB needs storylines so I’m throwing one out there for all of you. The kid from TCU has the hot cheerleader girlfriend and a big pile of new guaranteed money.
