See any flags for that hit? I don’t. That’s because a safety can still hit a wide receiver in the Canadian Football League.
That’s Calgary WR Simon Charbonneau-Campeau thinking that he just got distance from the Saskatchewan corner only to get a rude awakening from Marshay Green. Sure, it looks like Simon is dead, but the hit just knocked him out for a minute. He eventually walked it off and watched his team get a 31-24 win Friday night.
According to the Calgary Sun:
Knocked out cold, the 26-year-old Quebec native had no recollection of the hit or even getting to his feet and walking slowly to the locker-room. “I just remember waking up in the training room and talking to the trainers,” Charbonneau-Campeau said. “I remember a couple plays, but I don’t remember that play at all.
“Right now, I feel pretty good. Yeah, I don’t have short-term memory right now, but I don’t feel any dizziness or sickness. I think I’ll be fine.”
Sounds like he’s in pretty good shape.
