Andy Dalton Splurged On $750k House After Bengals Paid Him $17 Million Guaranteed

You know why I’m liking Andy Dalton more and more by the day, other than the fact that Ginger has my Bengals at 3-0 and is catching touchdown passes? The guy signs a big contract in August ($17 million guaranteed, $25 million if he’s around the Bengals in March 2015) and went out to buy a house and showed restraint. Dalton, his wife and newborn baby are now calling this modest 2,500 sq. ft. Cincinnati house (just 6 1/2 miles from Paul Brown Stadium) their new home while Andy works towards possibly earning $96 million through the life of the six-year contract.
Andy paid $732,000 for the completely remodeled 4 bedroom, 3 bath house with a finished basement just two weeks after his new contract was announced.
Bengals fans should feel comfortable with this guy. Sure, he’s 0-3 in the playoffs, but it’s hard to find stability at the position and to find a guy who isn’t a moron after signing a huge deal. Ginger kept his head straight and realized that it could all be over if there is another January disaster.
It’s not like he’s slumming it. It looks like he has a full finished basement for a modest man cave, while Mrs. Dalton has plenty of room in the kitchen to bake banana bread and chicken and noodle dinners.
