Barry Bonds is all of a sudden going on a social media binge, first creating a Twitter account and now setting up shop over the weekend on Instagram where he only has 358 followers as I write this. Of course one of the first photos on the account includes Barry and his son wearing $500 Gucci shoes.
It’s unclear why Barry has turned into a social media savant after years of shunning society. He even revealed on Twitter that he had guys stand in line for him at an Apple store so he could be the first person to get an iPhone6.

It’s like he’s a new man now that he’s 50 (July 24) and pretty much guaranteed to never get into the Baseball Hall of Fame. He seems to be enjoying life. The paying bros to stand in line for him at Apple is some sort of genius plan that we’re used to hearing about from Mark Cuban, not Juice.
I have no idea why, but I’m actually starting to find Bonds interesting.
