Poor Neil Trotter. He’s 46 and just looking to make a splash in the world of sports media.
The bad news is that he didn’t get to use his press credential at Sunday’s Falcons-Bengals game because the cops arrested him for trying to use a stolen CBS Sports press credential. Here’s the kicker:
According to court records, Trotter was found with CBS Sports Network credentials, specifically sideline passes.
The police say Trotter was arrested before he could gain entry to the press box. They were ready for someone using a stolen credential after one was jacked earlier in the week. Neil was booked on a receiving stolen property charge.
Few things:
• Neil isn’t aging well. That’s a tired looking 46. He’s suffered through many bad seasons of Bengals football and it shows.
• What was Neil going to do with the pass?
• Was he just looking for adventure? Looking to hit up the media buffet? Had a desire to break into the business?
• Did he buy this off a scalper? If so, how much did he pay?
Do you know Neil? Is there more to this story? Does he have a desire to work as a sideline reporter? Let us know:
