Let me tell you about actually attending an LSU game from a Northerner’s perspective.
I’ve been to three LSU games over the last three seasons. One at West Virginia and two consecutive years in Baton Rouge (Alabama and Texas A&M). There isn’t a group of fans that go harder than LSU. Don’t even bother sending mail telling me your school kicks LSU’s ass. It doesn’t. It can’t. It never will. You’ve never seen so many crazy bastards tailgating in your life. The party for a night game starts when you can get your ass to campus. There, you will pay a small price to get your car into the Parade Grounds. It might be $40. I can’t remember.
You pay, drive 200 yards, park and you’re in the center of the tailgating universe. It’s almost too good to be true. You can get out of your car, pop a tent and tailgate your ass off. Seriously, do yourself a favor and get to a game in Baton Rouge once in your life. Spend your $40, pack a cooler, park and just go on a wild adventure.
That short story brings me to the LSU couple (possibly drunk) taking a tumble.
You need to realize what time they started drinking for a 6 CST kick. 10 isn’t unreasonable. And it’s serious drinking of things like Purple Drank (I don’t even ask the ingredients; it’s good stuff), bourbon, kegs upon kegs.
One thing leads to another and you’re making out with some random and falling. Just another Saturday night in Death Valley. The Tigers won 31-0. They had to do something to pass the time.
