You knew it wasn’t going to be pretty. Former NFL QB Scott Mitchell knew it wasn’t going to be pretty. It wasn’t pretty. Mitchell’s first weigh-in on “The Biggest Loser” took place (ironically?) on a football field (looks like the Coliseum) and there was poor Scott standing on a platform about to be humiliated for national television.
The number was:
Scott started the show as a 46 year old who is heavier than any offensive lineman who ever blocked for him during an 11-year career. 3-6-6! According to his NBC bio, Mitchell now works as a bill collector. Why do this? Why take the humiliation instead of just hiring a personal trainer?
It seems he needs a coach:
“In sports, you can’t show vulnerability, you can’t show weakness, but that’s just not real,” Mitchell told The Salt Lake Tribune. “This is more than a game, this is my life. I’m not going to die. If I have to, I’m going on national television and facing this challenge and this obstacle in front of everyone.”
The show premieres on Sept. 11 at 8 p.m. on NBC.
