Jack White’s summer baseball tour rolled into his hometown of Detroit tonight for first pitch duties. As a bonus, the Tigers had Jack throw the pitch to Santa Claus because it’s Christmas in July — I guess.
Unlike his stop at Wrigley where he made headlines for being motionless, Jack seemed more relaxed at Comerica. The guy was back in his old hood. He went to high school just a couple blocks from the ballpark and across I-75 at Cass Tech. That’s a neighborhood that will make you either a musician or athlete. You either write insane songs or end up playing for Michigan. That’s Cass Tech. It’s an incredibly depressing area.
Anyway, I’m still curious what Jack is up to with this baseball tour. He’s now stopped at Wrigley, new Comiskey and now Comerica. Something is up.
