Remember 1996 when running back Adrian Murrell went off for 1,250 yards and six TDs for the Jets? It was a helluva year for Murrell. He was becoming a stud. The bad news is that the Jets went 1-15. That led to Bill Parcells getting the Jets coaching gig in 1997 and Murrell had another 1,000 yard season. He added yet another 1,000 yard season in 1998 playing for Arizona before fading and eventually being out of the league after 2003.
The guy went on to become owner of a water engineering services company and bought this 6,000 sq. ft. mansion that’s in the same vicinity as a house recently purchased by Michael Jordan. Now Murrell is unloading the five bedroom, 6.5 bath house for $2,190,000.
According to his realtor:
Exclusive estate on Lake Norman with beautiful sunsets. Distinctive quality throughout including radius windows, grand stairwell, 5 Bedrooms with private baths, 4 car garage with gated entry, 2 fireplaces. Thermador stainless appliances, granite, lower level w/kitchen, theater, outside bar. Hardwoods and travertine floors, hardwood stucco with tiled roof. Trex pier and boatslip.
In other words, you’ll be living like an executive who used to run in the NFL.
