While the Internet poured its attention on Mallory Edens, the daughter of new Milwaukee Bucks owner Wesley Edens, the real star of Draft Lottery Night had to be Anjali Ranadive, the daughter of newish Sacramento Kings owner Vivek Ranadive. Anjali has already had moments of Twitter stardom thanks to singing the national anthem at a Kings game, but this was her first time on national television.
@anjaliworld, a Cal Berkley graduate with a degree in Marine Ecology, is an aspiring singer/songwriter. She left the Draft Lottery with the 8th slot for her father.
In return, we expect Vivek will let his daughter do another Kings halftime performance next season. That’s right, the owner’s daughter uses her father’s team as a platform to further her singing career. Smart move.
