You can’t have “John Rocker Night” without John Rocker, right? Of course not.
The former MLB reliever will meet and greet fans on the way into Friday’s night Double-A level game between the Huntsville Stars and Birmingham Barons in Huntsville, Ala. (6:30 p.m. CT).
Since releasing his book Scars & Strikes in 2011, Rocker has kept a relatively low profile, popping up at small festivals, holding an Ask Me Anything on Reddit and beefing with fans on Twitter. A lot.
A few weeks ago (Apr. 27), Rocker did a book signing at the Taste of Marietta in Georgia. As you can see in the pic below, it looks like it was a pretty good time for the former closer: smokeshow to his right, beer in front of him and a sweet framed picture (with starburst!) to draw the fans into the tent.
