Jackson State’s Baseball Bus Goes Up In Flames In Alabama

From what we can tell, the Jackson State baseball team was on its way to Savannah, Georgia for a game on Tuesday, but the trip was cut short when the bus went up in flames this afternoon on I-59/20 in Birmingham, Alabama.

ABC 33/40 reports:

According to police, everyone on board escaped the burning bus unharmed, but they will have to find a new ride as the bus was completely destroyed in the fire. It is unknown at this time what caused the blaze.

The team lost all of its equipment in the blaze, forcing them to cancel tomorrow’s road game against Savannah St. in Georgia and board a bus back home to Mississippi.
