I’m starting to feel sorry for Walt Weiss and his journey to sell his insane Colorado compound that has been on the market since April 23, 2010 when he first listed the place for $4,400,000. Now, four years later, Walt has lowered the asking price to $3,100,000 for the 10,668 sq. ft. house and 73 acres. Weiss doesn’t have time for this place. He’s busy managing the Rockies.
Here we are, four years and $1.3 million lower, waiting for a buyer to put Walt (made $19,198,946 during his MLB career) out of his misery.
By now you know that the place is a sportsman’s paradise: obligatory pool, basketball court, indoor batting cage and regulation baseball field.
His realtor adds:
This home affords quality finishes and attention to detail in a serene setting. Views from multiple covered decks in a gated community just beyond a beautiful state park
I won’t even waste time listing the other highlights. Do know that it’s 30 miles from Whole Foods. The house is pretty much in the middle of nowhere. It’s about 41 miles from Coors Field.
Mortgage: $12,000 a month before hiring someone to cut all that grass
