Bears punter Adam Podlesh was released from his gig on March 5 after finishing last in the NFL during the 2013 in punt average. He listed his Libertyville, Illinois house 10 days later for $949,000. That’s the way things go in the Not For Long league. One minute you’re living the life as a 30 year old working for the Bears. 10 days later you’re selling the 4,200 sq. ft. pad that has a decent man cave.
According to Adam’s realtor:
Stately brick home blt in 2000 offers great curb appeal, lovely landscaped lot and fabulous brick patio. Striking 2 story fam rm w/dramatic frpl and lots of windows. Large state of the art kitchen w/eating area. 1st flr 5th bdrm w/bth. Finshd bsmnt w/media rm, exercise rm, and bar rm w/pool table. Refin flrs. New: carpet, paint, door/cabinet hdware(nickel), fans, light fixtures, blinds, alarm systm, landscaping, w&d and more
Adam paid $797,500 for the place in 2011 so hopefully he makes a little coin to help out while he’s looking for a new job.
Buyer beware – the house is 16 miles from Whole Foods.
