Swiss Biathlete Selina Gasparin Earns 10th Place After Finish Line Faceplant

The only reason I was still watching today’s women’s 12.5km biathlon at the Sochi Olympics was because Chad Salmela had color duties and an American was about to have the best women’s biathlon finish in U.S. history.

Then the race for 10th place got interesting.

That’s Swiss biathlete Selina Gasparin on the left really pushing hard for that top-10 finish. Kudos for the effort. Leave it all on the field. No regrets. Do it for your country.
