You can’t really blame NBC Sports golf reporter Nicole Castrale for thinking she was interviewing Oregon golf hero Sulman Raza after the Eugene native sank a birdie on the 21st hole of his match to give the Ducks a national championship on Wednesday. Sulman’s putt gave Oregon its first golf national championship.
It’s not like golfers wear names on the back of their shirts and Nicole isn’t exactly out there watching college golf like it’s the PGA.
College golf is lucky to even have TV coverage so Nicole shouldn’t hang her head in shame. This was bound to happen.

Of course Castrale was beating herself up over the whole thing. She knew someone would grab the video and it would end up on Busted. The Ducks golfer she confused for Sulman Raza got himself some free TV time and life will roll on.
I've missed putts, made plenty of bogeys and lost some tournaments in my career. Trust me, I've never felt worse than that. #imVERYsorry
