Now that’s a dog right there. He’s so all-in on that women’s World Cup finals match that he’s not going to just stop to play with some baby that always gets his attention. Not to be mean, but deal with it, kid. You’re playing second fiddle to the USWNT. Deuce will be all yours here in a couple hours.
He’ll let you pull his ears. He’ll let you grab his mouth and not even think of getting angry. Deuce will go back to his life as a good boy who wants to chase a ball and get belly rubs. Just give him space for this one night in July. Soon enough you’ll be in the yard tossing him a stick. You’ll be getting wet kisses again. He’ll pay attention to you when you cry and giggle.
Deuce seems like one helluva dog and I told his owner I’ll gladly take him if there’s ever a falling out with the family. Remind me again why people like cats over dogs.
