NHLer Shawn Horcoff Is Dumping His Dallas House — Just $2,950,000

It was announced late last week that the Dallas Stars wouldn’t re-sign the aging Shawn Horcoff — 37 in September — which means he will be an unrestricted free agent who’ll need a new home after two seasons in Dallas. Annnnddd…Horcoff’s 6,100 sq. ft. house magically hit the Dallas real estate market this morning with an asking price of $2,950,000.
Just so you know, at that price you don’t even get a pool. That’s how hot the Dallas real estate market is right now.
According to Horcoff’s realtor:

The listing is so new the realtor hasn’t even updated the MLS!

The place was built in 2012 so you’re getting a brand new house at that price. It’s Dallas, buy it and people will know you’re rich. This is what’s crazy about NHL players vs. NFL guys. These hockey bros drop serious money on houses even though you barely know who they are. These guys like Horcoff and getting paid serious money. He signed a 6-year, $33,000,000 contract with Edmonton in 2008.

Other highlights of Horcoff’s crash pad:

• 5 bedrooms, 6 baths
• Not a bunch of grass to cut
• The kitchen is massive, you’ll feel like you’re living in a Pottery Barn catalog
15.6 miles to Rick’s Cabaret
6 miles from Whole Foods…your wife will love living so close to organic produce
Mortgage: $11,200 a month before you start talking taxes and maid service
