Korean Baseball Bat Flip of the Year

There it is, my new favorite Korean Baseball bat flip of the year. If you’re going to launch the bat this far on a three-run bomb, you’re going to get my attention.
Just watch.

It’s perfectly acceptable in the KBO. Bigger the bat flip, the more you’re liked. Speaking of entertaining the fans, you might remember how Nyjer Morgan was playing in South Korea. That experiment is over. The reason: Some believe Nyjer’s “T-Plush” act angered the Hanwha Eagles coaching staff, who takes an old Japanese approach to the game, which means they don’t believe in fun. The fans seemed to love Nyjer, but that wasn’t enough to keep him around on a $700,000 contract.

To recap: Throw your bat halfway to the third base coaches box, you’re loved. Do the T-Plush and lose your job. That’s just how Korean baseball operates.
