Take a good look at that Mississippi State bulldog cake that was created this week by the cake artists at the Lady Bugg Bakery in Hernando, Mississippi. A husband paid $500, according to Bugg staff, for that cake and gave it to his wife. Why is the SEC better than your conference? Because husbands will pay $500 for mascot cakes for their wives.
“It was all cake but the head. Rice Krispies and about a 20 lb bucket of fondant,” the Bugg reported on Facebook.
Something tells me LBB is about to get several orders for these once this story hits 30-40 national blogs, a Rovell tweet and then ESPN. LBB better rethink that price. I’d get that into the $750 range before you get trucked with orders.
