Meet Carlos Casares. He’s just a lifelong Royals fan with a dream to see Game 7 of the World Series tonight at Kauffman Stadium. He’s also the guy who is missing an arm and brought the “I sold my left arm for an ALCS ticket” sign to Game 4 of the ALCS against Baltimore.
Carlos (@casares1015), who didn’t ask BC for attention, says that there is actually a legitimate story behind his arm and that that simple sign at Game 4 helped his insecurity over losing his arm.
Looking to give away a ticket to someone who will appreciate being at the World Series? Carlos seems to be your guy. He still cares about the sport after all these years of the Royals being terrible. He seems to enjoy a beer here and there so he’ll be a great drinking partner during the game. Sense of humor? Check.
At the very least, if you see a one-armed guy rolling around K.C. in his Royals World Series gear, buy Carlos a beer for overcoming his insecurity and providing us with one of the best signs we’ve seen in nearly seven years of doing this.
