That’s right, Jose Canseco blew off the middle finger on his left hand. I have no idea how that will affect his softball swing, but it can’t be good for a 50-year-old slugger to lose a digit via a gunshot wound. According to the Las Vegas Sun:
Police responded to his house on Market Crest Drive, near the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Bonanza Road, a little after 2:30 p.m. after receiving reports of an accidental shooting, Lt. Mark Reddon said. Canseco, 50, was attempting to clean the gun when it fired, injuring a finger on his left hand.
Of course Leila, his fiancee hasn’t been impressed by all the hate for Jose. You can’t blame her. This might’ve ended his softball career.
