Our friend and Miss California 2013 Mabelynn Capeluj really needs your help. She released this batting cage video on Monday and, as you can see, there needs to be improvement with the swing. This is exactly why I started BC: to give hitting advice to hot chicks. 6+ years later I hate to take time out of my busy day to offer free advice, but here it goes.
• Have to keep the back shoulder up; Mabelynn has a decent stance, but the shoulder drops as soon as she strides
• Head flies around during the swing; have to keep it on the ball
• I like that she’s choked up on the bat a little bit like she’s Joey Votto
• Need to shorten the stride; causing the body to fly open
• The back leg is a mess; have to keep it planted to provide power
