Thursday’s 2014 NCAA men’s basketball tournament action started off with a bracket-killing upset, as the 11th-seeded Dayton Flyers edged sixth-seeded Ohio State, 60-59, in Buffalo. Vee Sanford hit a layup with 3.8 seconds left to cinch the win for the underdogs.
Since the Buckeyes had advanced to the Sweet 16 or beyond in each of the past four tournaments, most fans had them playing through to Saturday or beyond.
