You’ve probably never been to Georgia College & State University. The Division II school is located in Milledgeville, Ga. Their sports teams are solid — “two-time winners of the PBC Commissioner’s Cup” – but not exactly world class.
The buzzer-beater (above) they converted on Monday was.
The Bobcats had just three-tenths of a second until a seemingly certain defeat to GRU Augusta when Royal Thomas directed an in-bound pass off the glass for a basket and a 56-55 win. You can hear the broadcast (?!?) go crazy.
Nice “D” Augusta. Way to protect that goal.
Georgia College improved to 7-8 (3-5 PBC), but they face nationally-ranked No. 15 USC Aiken on Wednesday. We assume there will be media coverage for that game, too.
