Florida Man scored a huge victory earlier this week.

South Florida fisherman J.J. Logan, who captains the Marlin My Darlin Sportfishing charter, hauled in a massive great white shark.

Capt. Logan caught an estimated 12-foot, 1,000-pound shark in South Florida and shared the video on social media.

The video highlights the struggle to reel the shark in.

The shark is absolutely massive.

Capt. Logan said the shark “is the first one I’ve ever seen off this coast here, and it’s the third one, to my knowledge, to be caught off South Florida,” according to 7 News Miami.

“It’s hard to believe you even hook something that size, and an hour later, you still thought you’ve gained and made a dent, and it took us two and a half hours to finally get it up and get some good video and pictures of it and release it.”

The shark was released after it was brought onto the boat.

Logan said that his boat was fishing for sailfish and mahi before reeling in the great white. That seems like quite a successful day.
