A 21-year-old man was arrested after an alleged large-scale drug operation was discovered in his home.

Weston Soule, who is from Connecticut and shockingly not from Florida, had a “clandestine mushroom-growing factory” inside of his home which contained “psilocybin mushrooms in various stages of growth.”

The state’s Narcotics Task Force discovered the operation after a tipster gave them information and a search warrant was carried out.

Soule allegedly had $8.5 million worth of psychedelic mushrooms in the grow room.

From WTNF:

Investigators went with Soule to a detached garage on the property, where detectives said they saw a large mushroom-growing operation. Soule claimed that the type of mushrooms he was growing were not illegal, police said. Inside the home, officers said they found a clandestine mushroom-growing factory with psilocybin mushrooms in various stages of growth.

Photos provided by state police showed dozens of large bags containing what commonly are known as “shrooms” or “magic mushrooms.” State police estimated the mushrooms were valued at $8.5 million.

Psilocybin is a Schedule 1 controlled substance.

The 21-year-old was charged with possession with intent to sell/distribute narcotics and operation of a drug factory and is being held on $250,000 bond.
