The NFL season is moving at breakneck speed. There’s not a lot of downtime from week to week. Week 3 culminated on Monday night with another Monday Night Football doubleheader. Fans will only need to wait two more sleeps until the Detroit Lions and Greeb Bay Packers kickoff Week 4. But, before we get there, let’s take a look back at the week that was. Here are 5 headlines from Week 3.

5. Trouble In Minnesota

Looking at the Minnesota Vikings on paper, it’s hard to believe that this team is 0-3. On Sunday, the Vikings met the Los Angeles Chargers, another team that was desperate for their first victory of the season. In the end, it was the Chargers going home with the 28-24 victory. The Vikings are now in a spot where a loss in Week 4 could already be the nail in the coffin of their young season.

4. Bengals On Track

Tensions were high in Cincinnati before the Bengals met the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football. However, the Bengals avoided an 0-3 start to the season, led by the defense. The Bengals recorded six sacks, led by stifling defensive end Trey Hendrickson. The Cincinnati offense left a lot to be desired, as quarterback Joe Burrow seemed to miss a few throws that he would normally connect on. Burrow’s health seems like it is going to be the biggest question following the team all season.

How ‘Bout Them Cardinals

The most shocking outcome of the weekend was the Arizona Cardinals pulling off the monster upset over the Dallas Cowboys. At one point, the Cardinals led 15-3 in the second quarter. A game that Arizona never trailed in basically ended after a backbreaking 4th quarter interception by Dak Prescott as the Cowboys were looking to avoid the upset. Dallas has looked very strong in many moments this season. However, Sunday will be one where the team might want to burn the film.

2. Swift Play In Kansas City

Maybe you’ve heard by now, but if you haven’t, Taylor Swift was in attendance for the Kansas City Chiefs 41-10 domination over the Chicago Bears. Yes, the news that Swift was sitting in Travis Kelce’s family’s private box at the stadium happened to be more exciting than the product on the field. For the first time all season, the Chiefs looked like the team that the league had feared for the past few seasons.

1. Red Hot Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins offense has been one of the more fun units to follow this season. Sunday, the Dolphins put the entire league on notice, dropping 70 points in their blowout victory over the Denver Broncos. Scoring 70 points in the NFL seems impossible, but for Broncos fans they know that it can absolutely be a reality. Fans are counting down the days leading to the November matchup between the Dolphins and Chiefs.
