Wilson was arrested after allegedly breaking into a home in Hollywood Hills and took a bath in its outdoor fountain. After he was arrested, Wilson was transferred to the medical facility on February 1 because he was declared incompetent to stand trial.
After being drafted by the Detroit Lions in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft, he recorded 89 tackles, eight pass deflections, and one forced fumble.
Wilson’s career came to an end after two seasons when he suffered a career-ending Achilles tear in a 2008 preseason game.
Our deepest condolences go out to Wilson’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult and tragic time.
