It seems to circulate every season after Clemson beats a team at home that they should, but there’s no excuse for it. Tiger fans storm the field after every home game, win or lose.

Let’s be honest; there’s no way of defending this.

The “tradition” of storming the field after every game is the lamest thing I’ve ever heard. There’s no way that a win over South Carolina Upstate feels just as good as knocking off a Top 5 program.

It is beyond lame and takes away from actual special field storming like last week when Tennessee beat Alabama for the first time in the lives of all freshmen high schoolers in the country. Clemson has been to the big dance enough to realize this tradition needs to go away.

There are plenty of other traditions that Tigers fans can try to adopt — maybe a pizza party at Dabo’s or something. Of course, lights out early, Coach doesn’t allow any shenanigans.

Clemson fans, I’m sure, will try to defend this and claim that the tradition is enriched history for the program, but none of that matters. This tradition is lame, and there’s nothing anyone can say that will make me change my mind. Clemson’s next home game will be against Lousiville. On second thought, yeah, storm the field on them. L’s down forever!
