Draymond Green could be facing discipline from the Golden State Warriors.

According to a report from Shams Charania of The Athletic, Green was involved in a “physical altercation” with guard Jordan Poole at the team’s practice on Wednesday. The report says Green “forcefully struck” Poole during their confrontation.

The is considering disciplinary action as a result of the incident.

From the report:

“When a heated interaction with guard Jordan Poole escalated, Green forcefully struck Poole and needed to be separated swiftly, sources said. Green and Poole came chest-to-chest, with both players pushing and shoving each other prior to Green’s escalation of the physical altercation, those sources said.”

It’s an unnecessary distraction for the reigning NBA champions, but sometimes tempers boil over during training camp and hopefully Green and Poole can put their differences aside moving forward.

The Warriors return to the court on Sunday, October 9, for a preseason meeting with the Los Angeles Lakers.
