NFL Week 12 Preview & Betting Odds

The best week of the NFL season has finally arrived. While everyone is stuffing their faces with turkey, fans will be treated with a full day of NFL on Thanksgiving. Some of the matchups are looking less appetizing than initially thought.

The Sunday slate of games, meanwhile, will have many great matchups.

Chicago Bears @ Detroit Lions (+3.5, 42.5)

A tradition unlike any other, a noon kickoff for the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving. This year won’t be much different than years past. Eat your first plate of turkey and stuffing so you will be ready to nap during the second half. Don’t expect too many fireworks in this one.

Las Vegas Raiders @ Dallas Cowboys (-7, 50.5)

The Dallas Cowboys will continue another Thanksgiving tradition in the second game on Thursday. The Cowboys will meet a Las Vegas Raiders team who continues to be on the decline.

The Cowboys are coming off an ugly loss to Kansas City and will look to rebound in a matchup against two historic franchises.

Buffalo Bills @ New Orleans Saints (+4.5, 46.5)

The nightcap of Thanksgiving will feature the Buffalo Bills and New Orleans Saints. Both teams are coming off of performances that they wish they could forget. The Bills once seemed like the top team in the AFC, but with two terrible performances in the last three weeks, the team will look to find their grove in New Orleans.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Indianapolis Colts (+2.5, 51.5)

The reigning Super Bowl champs find their rhythm again on Monday night with a lopsided victory over the New York Giants. Week 12 will bring the Buccaneers a new challenge when they go to Indianapolis to take on a red hot Colts team. This game has the potential to be one of the best games of the week.

New York Jets @ Houston Texans (-2.5, 44.5)

There are a lot of good matchups in the Sunday slate of Week 12. This one may not be one of those. The Houston Texans and New York Jets may be playing more for a draft position than a victory. The Texans are coming off the biggest upset of the season and hope to build off that momentum.

Philadelphia Eagles @ New York Giants (+3.5, 46.5)

The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off a dominant victory of the New Orleans Saints, will take on their old rival, the New York Giants. Any matchup between NFC East rivals has the potential to be a classic. The Eagles will look to stay in the playoff discussion of a stacked NFC.

Carolina Panthers @ Miami Dolphins (+1, 43)

Cam Newton’s triumphant return to Carolina has had Panthers fans buzzing since the announcement. Although the Washington Football Team spoiled his return to the starting QB position, Cam has the organization and its fans believing that the Panthers are still in the hunt.

Tennessee Titans @ New England Patriots (-5.5, 44.5)

No, your eyes are not deceiving you. The New England Patriots sit atop the AFC East standings once again. The Patriots have quietly put themselves in a position to take the AFC East crown behind basic play for rookie QB Mac Jones. The Patriots will be favored at home this week against a Titans team seeing their stock drop.

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cincinnati Bengals (-4.5, 45.5)

The second matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers will have huge implications on the AFC North. The Bengals throttled the Steelers in their first matchup, with the Bengals defense leaving the Steelers and Big Ben looking for answers. This matchup will be against two teams with a completely different identity than we saw in the first matchup.

Atlanta Falcons @ Jacksonville Jaguars (+1, 46.5)

The last time the Falcons took the field, fans witnessed them get shut out by the Patriots on Thursday Night Football. That ugly performance should have the Falcons salivating at the opportunity to get back out there on Sunday. The Jaguars have shown flashes of what they can become this season, and Trevor Lawerence is still learning what it takes to be an NFL QB.

Los Angeles Chargers @ Denver Broncos (+1.5, 49)

The Los Angeles Chargers have been one of the more fun teams to watch all season long. The main reason is Chargers QB Justin Herbert is continuing to grow into a star right before our eyes. The Denver Broncos are a quarterback away from an explosive offense that can compete with their AFC West rivals.

Los Angeles Rams @ Green Bay Packers (-1.5, 50)

Matthew Stafford left the NFC North for greener pastures in Los Angeles, but the veteran QB couldn’t completely escape Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. The Packers are coming off a tough loss to the Vikings while the Rams enjoyed a bye week. This game should be an offensive masterpiece.

Minnesota Vikings @ San Francisco 49ers (-3, 48.5)

The Minnesota Vikings shocked some fans last week with their 3 point victory over Green Bay. Vikings QB Kirk Cousins matched Aaron Rodgers step for step in the best game of Week 11. The Vikings will look to build off that victory as they travel to San Francisco has the underdogs to the 49ers.

Cleveland Browns @ Baltimore Ravens (-4.5, 46.5)

Even without Lamar Jackson last week, the Ravens found a way to win and stay on top in the AFC North. This week, Baltimore will welcome an underachieving Cleveland Browns team that seems to be unraveling at the seams. The Browns have an opportunity to stay afloat in the AFC North with a victory this weekend.

Seattle Seahawks @ Washington Football Team (+2.5, 46)

Can anyone stop the Washington Football Team? Washington is coming off back-to-back wins over the Buccaneers and Panthers and now have their sights set on a beaten-up Seattle Seahawks team. Seattle is slightly favored in this one, but the Russell Wilson era in Seattle seems to be on its final legs.
