The 2021 college football season is in full swing. As we have grown accustomed to, the Alabama Crimson Tide are steamrolling their way through the regular season and star quarterback Bryce Young has been a big part of the team’s success.

Because of that, Young has been the Heisman Trophy favorite leading up to and throughout the first three weeks of the season.

However, in the latest odds, a new Heisman favorite has emerged with Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral leapfrogging Young for the top spot. Corral has completed nearly 69 (nice) percent of his passes through three weeks for 997 yards, 9 touchdowns, and no interceptions. The Rebels are undefeated and will now prepare for a showdown with top-ranked Alabama on Saturday, October 2.

If the Rebels can upset the Crimson Tide, Corral will strengthen his case for college football’s top individual honor.

Outside of Corral and Young, Oklahoma’s Spencer Rattler, Ohio State’s CJ Stroud, CJ Verdell of Oregon, and Cincinnati’s Desmond Ridder are the most likely contenders for the prestigious award.

Who are the contenders leading the way as we prepare for another week of action across the country?
