Dana White’s Contender Series returns for another season this week as the UFC attempts to find some of the top up-and-coming prospects in mixed martial arts. The season will air weekly on ESPN+.
Season 5 kicks off on Tuesday night with Dana White’s Contender Series 37. At the end of the night, if any fighters impress UFC President Dana White enough, they will be awarded a UFC contract.
In the main event, heavy-handed light heavyweights Matheus Scheffel of Brazil and Russia’s Azamet Murzakanov go head-to-head.
A heavyweight clash between Lukasz Brzeski and Dylan Potter was scrapped due to COVID-19 protocol.
Ahead of Tuesday night’s fights, all of the fighters had to step onto the scale at the UFC host hotel for the official weigh-ins in Las Vegas. The fights will take place on Tuesday at the UFC Apex.
