The oblivious Tour de France spectator who caused a massive crash during Stage 1 of the Tour de France has been located and arrested.

Earlier this week, it was reported that the woman had gone missing and some believed she may have fled the country. However, local reports claim law enforcement officials believe they have found the woman responsible for the crash and taken her into custody.

Currently, the woman would only be facing a fine for causing the crash. The fine would be 1500 euros, or approximately $1,800.

But if any of the cyclists who were forced to withdraw from the race due to injuries suffered in the massive pile-up decide to file a complaint, she could be in further legal trouble.

Officials say the woman “unintentional injuries by manifestly deliberate violation of an obligation of safety or prudence.”

Tour de France officials also said they intend to sue the woman.

“We are suing this woman who behaved so badly,” Tour deputy director Pierre-Yves Thouault said after the incident. “We are doing this so that the tiny minority of people who do this don’t spoil the show for everyone,”

Who knew a piece of cardboard could be so costly?
