Amanda Gorman was the star of the 2021 presidential inauguration. As part of Joe Biden’s presidential inauguration ceremony, Gorman became the youngest inaugural poet in history.

The 22-year-old from Los Angeles delivered her poem “The Hill We Climb” which she completed on the night of January 6 which was the day of the deadly insurrection at the nation’s capital.

The poem is inspiring and immediately made an impact on social media with quotes spreading like wildfire and many celebrities giving praise.

Now, she’s heading to another big stage: Super Bowl 55.

This week, the National Football League announced that Gorman would be a part of the pre-game festivities, performing an original poem to honor some of the heroes from the coronavirus pandemic who will be serving as honorary captains for The Big Game on Sunday, February 7.
