DAD FIGHT!
Rivalry week isn’t just about the bad blood between the players on the field. For as many fights or scuffles you see out on the turf between two rival teams, you can expect even more scraps between the fans of those schools in the stands, parking lot, etc. You take all those years of hate and vitriol towards the other team and it’s fanbase, add alcohol in the morning, and there’s a 99% chance you see some action.
And that’s how you end up with dad fights between a couple of middle-aged men (one with a god-awful haircut) exchanging blows in the 300 levels. And that’s why college football is incredible.
