Mike Tyson Lifted Some Ice Cream at the US Open

The biggest story from Day 1 of the US Open was easily Gael Monfils destroying a clock with a jump kick — yeah, not exactly groundbreaking stuff. But things apparently got very interesting off court when Mike Tyson satisfied his sweet tooth by stealing an ice cream bar from a Ben & Jerry’s kiosk.

What do you do when you see Iron Mike lifting sweets? According to the NY Post, you just let it happen:

“I was like, ‘Are you serious? Am I imagining this?’ (Tyson) was like, ‘I feel like having an ice cream’ and he just took it,” said one stunned worker, adding, “What are you going to do, fight him? He’s Mike Tyson.”

The troubled brawler lifted the lid of the freezer stand, scooped out the $5.50 “Half Baked” ice cream bar and strolled off without paying for it, the witnesses said.
The female worker behind the stand yelled, “Excuse me, are you going to pay for that,” but Tyson just ignored her and kept walking, according to the witnesses.

Super ballsy move by some of these employees trying to confront Mike over $5 ice cream — just take the L and be glad you witnessed a once-in-a-lifetime moment.
In case you were wondering, Mike eventually paid for the ice cream so it’s all good.
