Lenny Dykstra Says He Blackmailed Umpires to Increase His Walks

If there are any walk deficient lead-off men trying to improve their on-base percentages, scumbag Lenny Dykstra has some advice for you: hire some private investigators.
Dykstra appeared on “The Herd” today to chat with Colin Cowherd when the conversation steered towards his “book on umpires.” The only thing is it wasn’t like a scouting book on heat maps, but an investigative team that Dykstra hired to dig dirt (affairs, gambling, etc.) on the guys calling balls and strikes.
According to Dykstra, he had to do whatever it took to win and support his family (of course):

Somewhere Pete Rose is getting a big kick out of this.
And for the record, Dykstra’s walk percentage did spike from 8.3 percent to 11.4 percent from 1993-94.
Sidenote: Does anyone else love Colin’s set design? Forcing your guests to look up at you is a total power move.
