Here we go with fight coverage
When was the last time ESPN and/or the national media really cared about a boxing match? What a week this is going to be. You have the crowd that “won’t be buying a fight” featuring a domestic violence veteran vs. the crowd that wants “to see the biggest (whatever that means) fight in boxing history.” One crowd will lecture you on why you shouldn’t watch the fight, while the other crowd will lecture you on how historic this fight will be. All week. ESPN is making money off the coverage so you’re going to get six straight days of nonsense. The weigh-in will be nonsense. There will be a fake fight. Floyd will make fun of Manny. You know how this goes.
