The Ultimate Fighting Championship returned to action this weekend with UFC Vegas 81 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on Saturday, October 14.
In the main event, top-15-ranked featherweights Sodiq Yusuff and Edson Barboza went head-to-head. Yusuff (13-2) entered the fight as the No. 11 featherweight in the UFC, while Barboza (23-11) was ranked No. 13.
Early in the fight, Yusuff had Barboza in serious danger.
However, the UFC veteran was able to rally in the late rounds and badly hurt Yusuff with a head kick en route to a unanimous decision victory.

In the co-main event, Viviane Araujo (11-5) and Jennifer Maia (21-9-1) faced off in a meeting between top 15 women’s flyweight contenders with Araujo coming out on top to snap a two-fight losing streak.
