The Ultimate Fighting Championship returned this weekend with UFC on ESPN 43 at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas.
In the main event, top-ranked bantamweight contenders Cory Sandhagen and Marlon “Chito” Vera went head-to-head with Sandhagen able to score a split-decision victory over Vera with some controversial scorecards. Sandhagen was the clearly dominant fighter, but one judge had a questionable score in favor of Vera.
In the co-main event, former women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm picked up an impressive and dominant win of her own against fellow contender Yana Santos.
