Dana White’s Contender Series returned for another event this week as the UFC attempts to find some of the top up-and-coming prospects in mixed martial arts.
Season 5 continued on Tuesday night with Dana White’s Contender Series 44.
In the featured bout of the night, welterweights Jonny Parsons (7-1) and Solomon Renfro (8-1) went head-to-head with Parsons earning a split-decision victory. Other bouts took place in the strawweight, light heavyweight, and bantamweight divisions.
When the night was all said and done, Parsons, Piera Rodriguez, Caio Borralho, and Armen Petrosyan earned UFC contracts.
