Bellator MMA returned this week with Bellator 267 at ‘The SSE Arena, Wembley in London, England on Friday night.
In the main event, top-ranked welterweight contender Michael Page took on former champion Douglas Lima. In the co-main event, Leah McCourt and Jessica Borga went head-to-head in a women’s featherweight bout.
When it was all said and done, Page got his revenge against Lima by scoring a split-decision win on the judge’s scorecards.
“I wanted to finish him. He’s a tough man. I understand why he’s been a champion three times. Even when I hit him with those big shots, he just kept coming and then he started to adjust and make it more difficult,” Page said after earning the win. “I was confident. I knew he was going to go for a takedown. Every single striker that stands in front of me, I turn them into wrestlers. Every single one of them. Now I want that bling! I’ve come over and got my redemption. Now I want that bling.”
McCourt, meanwhile, rolled through Borga with a unanimous decision win.
